Breeding Sows/Gilts Available

To inquire, please email Jazmin at jaz@brownsranch.us for availability. We raise a variety of mixed heritage breeds that have done well in our environment, surviving our winters outside with straw bedding. Our breeds include crosses of Berkshire, Tamworth, Old Spot, and Mangalitsa.
These are “no fuss” pigs. For farrowing, we typically sort them off into their own pens and give them daily feed and water. Otherwise, they manage their litters on their own with an average litter size of 8 per sow. Raised on a corn and soy free diet without any vaccines or other medical intervention besides teeth clipping and castration at a week old.
Guard Dog Pups Available

Rona, a Karakachan/Great Pyrenees mix, is currently in her prime as one of two LGD’s of our laying hens. She and her sister keep our flock safe from predators. They’ve proven themselves time and time again, running off coyotes, fox, skunks, and taking down birds of prey that came too close.
Titan, a Maremma/Great Pyrenees mix, guarded our flock of ewes for many years, keeping them safe from all predators as well. He is in retirement now since we only have sheep seasonally but still actively guards the yard.
There are two males and one female (see photos below) who will be ready for their new homes in early April. If you have been hoping to add a chicken or sheep guardian to your farm, now is the time to reach out.
